Love and the Moon

When we're kids, the moon is just the moon
It's there in the sky at night, and sometimes its not
But we never mistaken it for something else
As we grow, and mature, we realize that the moon
It isn't just the moon
It represents love in so many ways
It's always there
It never truely goes away, even when we can't see it
It's always surrounded by darkness
A force so powerful that it threatens to engulf the moon
And darken it forever
But the moon still stands strong
It never truely goes away
We wish on the moon, just as we wish on love
The moon is magical, so is love
Love and the moon
They never truely go away, even when we can't see them
They can be hidden, surrounded
Forgotten, and even stepped on
But the tracks of those steps
Will remain forever
They will never turely go away
Just lost in the sandy imprint of our hearts
Lost forever
