Saving the Tormented Child

I wonder about you,
Do you really know about what happened?
Why would you want to save this tormented child?
She's locked away, straight jackets and all.

Leave her, never talk to her.
Yet, you still do.
Why do you care?
She's in misery and despair.

Some would think you think too much,
I think I like it.
You're serious,
Unlike most people.

My mind can't help it,
You're amazing.
You're saving the tormented child in me.
But why me?

Couldn't you do that to something much better?
I'm not important,
I'm just a freak.
But you like to think of that differently, by telling me I'm not.

Is it possible that two halves of one soul can meet?
No, I'm only kidding, saying this would be impossible.
But it is possible that two people are just the same,
Only in two different bodies.

So,
Don't stop saving this tormented child,
She needs you more than anything,
You're her only hope.
