Synaethesia

She sparkles black.
A light misery for my mind.
Her eyes listen.
Her wings will wait.
Won't I see her fly?
Or should I shut my eyes?

But in the Rain,
But on the lawn,
I will pull her closer.
I will hold her near.
"Dance a little louder, love.
Let's put our faces back on,
Before clocks tear us apart."

She feels translucent.
This mirrored fact in my head.
Her skin dissipates.
Her magic fades.
Will I see her cry?
Shouldn't I open my eyes?

But in the Sun,
But on the floor,
I will speak softly.
I will kiss her hard.
"Dance a little louder, love.
Let's put the mask back on,
Before clocks rip us away."

"Watch me fly," she whispers.
She let's go...
Flutters heavily away...
The alarm screams.
I will wait.
