John W. Shattuck Volume One

Heaven pointed to the sky
When my life is holding our heads to this gun
Sink to the bottom-deep into the caskets of the Dopamine Sea
Before electric lights
discovered who you really are inside
Cherrypicking for love within a broken river
derived from the star's smokey rain drops
breathing love into a cloudy night
Infectious bites
The Sun that blows atmospheric complexes in my pockets
Is a carbonate that poses as volatile robes of acetate
Feel the dawn break as the stars collide
and black holes are revived by the Angels of Space
to live a more worthy life
When stars bleed, the abyss becomes frightful
Almost crystalline

When you whisper the words into my ears
I vent to the city, I wanted to get out of here

This tiger reflected on a full moon
clawed deep into the skin of the wound
Proving it too did not have much to lose
in the journey

Oh are you falling for him/her?
Or with the feelings that come with it?

Here's to a new kind of love
The one where you do what you feel just because
it seems right tonight
it seems like
