It's Just The End Of The World

The trees sway softly in the breeze

Gentle caresses through the leaves

The sun is shining and brightens the world

The cotton clouds whirl and swirl

But, yet this day hold something ominous

Because on this earth, there's no such thing as happiness

The wind turns relentless and battles life

The leaves curl on themselves and fall to their death

The sky darkens to a black endless night

It's obvious there's no winning fight

Destruction falls in the form of boiling rain

The acidic substance foretells the end of all days

And every soul screams in unenduring agony

Begging for mercy but promising nothing

And the green flickers red to gray

And the pain of life begins to fade away

There is only one last sprout of forest green

To start over again devoid of greed

But this was not meant to be

And one last drop of rain falls to kill the remaining being

For once it is all gone, Earth will hold no more hate

But also no elation or love, but this is fate

And we were much, much too late
