People have referred to life as a "book",
An on-going story where each day is it's own page.
But what if life's a story of minimum wage,
And nobody gives you a second look?

Or what if your story was about needing love,
About needing the acceptance of others?
And what of the fatherless brothers,
Who's dramatic story ends in a meeting above?

For you see, there's a reason for all this.
If that fact were true,
Then there's a story about you.
A fact to face, and you're the only witness.

So, seeing your life's book on the shelf,
I guess the only question left is, who's the author?
Well, to some, it might be the Holy Father,
To others, it might be yourself.

Everyone gives their signature to their story,
Making it their own.
Some are popular, others, alone.
But as for me, in heaven, now there's my glory.
