Butterfly
It’s luminescent wings flutter.
A spell-or just a mysterious mutter?
It’s soft angelic touch.
A forgotten soul in its clutch.
It’s glow growing ever brighter
An aura that grows ever lighter
To an almost translucent purple
The color of spirit
How strange it feels
To even be near it
The forgotten soul-is it me?-
Doesn’t know what it will be
What comes after this?
Never-ending bliss
Or an endless abyss?
Then all at once
I feel at peace
My mind stops
My being seems to seize
The breathtaking, enchanting butterfly,
Still lending its beauty,
Sores through the summer sky
To spread the energy around the earth
And give to the world another birth
A spell-or just a mysterious mutter?
It’s soft angelic touch.
A forgotten soul in its clutch.
It’s glow growing ever brighter
An aura that grows ever lighter
To an almost translucent purple
The color of spirit
How strange it feels
To even be near it
The forgotten soul-is it me?-
Doesn’t know what it will be
What comes after this?
Never-ending bliss
Or an endless abyss?
Then all at once
I feel at peace
My mind stops
My being seems to seize
The breathtaking, enchanting butterfly,
Still lending its beauty,
Sores through the summer sky
To spread the energy around the earth
And give to the world another birth
