Lonely Shadow
I'm walking down the road,
With nothing in sight,
Except for a shadow,
In the dead of the night.
It's yours but you're not there,
I wonder when you are,
Just a lonely shadow,
You're miles and miles too far.
I walk up to your shadow,
I can't see your face,
The shadow reminds me of you,
But it can't take your place.
So I walk on without it,
I remember your eyes,
I go in forever,
And then look up in suprise.
There you are,
Looking at me,
No more a lonely shadow,
But a person I can see.
With nothing in sight,
Except for a shadow,
In the dead of the night.
It's yours but you're not there,
I wonder when you are,
Just a lonely shadow,
You're miles and miles too far.
I walk up to your shadow,
I can't see your face,
The shadow reminds me of you,
But it can't take your place.
So I walk on without it,
I remember your eyes,
I go in forever,
And then look up in suprise.
There you are,
Looking at me,
No more a lonely shadow,
But a person I can see.
