Iris Sky

You left like a passing thought,
A light kiss on the cheek,
A small wave of goodbye

Moments later,
Everything is just as monotonous as ever,
Nothing has changed
Except for the whole earth
Now one life less beautiful

Your departure,
Vague as the edge of a shadow,
Blurred in my mourning memory
Which stings now
As I remember your wide eyes
Those blue reflections of your
Airborne mind.

Now I cling longingly
To these fragments of your life
As your memory slips
From my consciousness.

But through these tear-stained windows
When I look into the sky,
Your eyes
Fill the universe with their dazzling colour
As you watch me cry.
