Love in the Shadows

We lay under moonlight,
Loving all that’s new.
As we touched those stars,
And now look from a far.

Your hair of spun onyx, that run with gold,
Your rouge lips bear a smack of dark blood.
Your name in whispered rolls,
Forever on my tongue,
So pure to be hold.
As they danced in the holly mud,
Kissing in deepening holes,
Your angelic smell cures thy lung.
As I will not let your memory dissolve.

As I urn in an English fire,
Made from your heart's desire,
As your love burns my funeral pyre.
Your heart melts my ice,
To give me a chance of twice,
When we parted, you left me with no ice,
Just warmth and love,
From a body up above,
On the wing of the dark lords dove.
