Untamed, Untouched and Unreachable

She can't say that she knew you
For you were like mist between the fingers,
Untouchable and quick,
Silent and untamed.
She thought you a ghost,
That did not want to be seen,
Not even heard or touched.
A shadow of a person
Lurking beneath warm skin
Wearing a mask so thick,
So spooky and dark,
But invisible.
No eyes could make out that face,
That person, so unreachable.
And yet,
You still tried to hide
Or so it seemed.
And she couldn't say that she knew you.
