Fly

It will happen tonight,
We will take flight.
We’ll fly away,
Just for a day.
We can go see the world,
And give this love stuff a whirl.
Maybe you will get a kiss,
But I know that’s only something I’ll miss.
If tonight’s the night,
When we both take flight,
We shouldn’t be scared,
Because we’re both prepared.
I look up at the sky,
And realize we’ll never fly.
