I Lost You

It was today, that I remembered you.
Not only because you were the best.
But because I have to write an elegy,
For absurd English.

Now don't get me wrong,
I miss you very much.
Even though I didn't know you well.
I still feel like there's something missing.

You were the one that always smiled.
No matter what happened.
Even when I did something wrong,
In the end there was a smile on your face.

But then the Old Death came,
That evil bastard.
He always came for you,
But you kept fighting.

Then that one day,
He was actually nice for once,
And sent you to the hospital bed,
Instead of you death bed.

I came to visit you,
And at the time,
I didn't know what was going on.
For I was just a kid.

You were smiling,
Can you believe it?
I surely can't,
For the place smelled of death.

Then Old Death crept into your room one night,
And cut of your air!
That evil little bastard!.
He took you away from me.

And I didn't even get to say goodbye.
