Army Of One

Excuse after excuse, enters her ears.
As her baby blue eyes, fill up with tears.
A war has started, she stands alone.
Looks like his army, has finally grown.
Looking around, she has nothing to throw.
Nothing to say, as his army starts to grow.
Fear fills her heart, but she hides it well.
But another excuse explodes, she revisits her shell.
Crawls up in it, and tries to be as safe as can be.
But nothing can protect her, from him and his army.
Their words like knives, their breaths like bullets.
She falls to her knees, and almost regrets.
But she can't, she's already come this far.
So she stands up, and she raises the bar.
But the go higher, and weaker, she has grown.
And it's nobody's fault, but her very own.
