The Human Focus

Lately I’ve been seeing things
Through a shallow depth of field
Things up close are nice and sharp
While those far away aren’t clear
I see their outlines, their general shape
I understand what they’re meant to be
But still I have to strain my eyes
To find what they are in actuality
I wish I could see the whole picture
What will happen once life appears
Around the corner and into focus
Hitting me unaware and full of fear
Why can’t I see beyond that point?
Unfortunately not many can
Seeing only a certain distance
May be the downside of being human
