They throw me a kitten, rabbit or bird,
Chase it, kill it, is all thats heard.

But every time I try, its not good enough,
It seems to me, they want you rough.

You see, they bred me, for my speed,
A little love, is all I need.

And from then, they've trained me up, every day,
I've tried to do, what they say.

Now I can feel it, now I know,
The truth is, I'm just too slow.

I've tried my best, but I can't succeed,

What's going to heppen next, I wonder,
Looking at his face, a look like thunder.

Show me the path, to heavens gate,
I want to live, but it's just too late.

Before I know it, I'm going to be freed,

I get put in a cage, with food and water,
I've just been saved, from a salughter

Because I'm a greyound, if you didn't know,
If we're not fast enough, down we go.

My hope and faith, is a tiny seed,

But I got saved, by a shelter
My life's been like a helter skelter

after a while, someone comes to look at me,
'Oh, not another trainer, no!' I plea

It turns out, he's nothing to fear,
He's my family, in my home, right here.
