The Death of youth

The end of a night of loose delights
The people, the sounds, the neon lights
My memories blurred but, the actions fresh
The dance floor packed from skin to flesh

And as i drive home sunrise bound
I watch rays peck, Dawn is crowned
The light leaves me blind and dumb
Take it in under the low stereo hum

Oh unavoidable sunrise
Darkness's slow demise
Put an end to my ambitious play
Makes me sober to start the day
