Stars Sing

In the cold night sat a little girl,
Holding her blanket and sucking her thumb,
In the night she smiled and went off to bed.
What did she smile at you may ask,
She smiled at the stars around her,
The filled her with hope and happiness,
That someday soon she will be singing along with them.
Her mother told her that stars sang when they are happy,
And they are almost always happy,
You just have to listen to the wind to hear them sing,
And everyone hears a different song,
But it is always beautiful.
So she was listening to the stars,
She listened to the wind,
She heard them in the night,
She hopped off to her room smiling.
In the night a star shined on the little girl,
She sang a soft melody in honor of her,
Because she thought she was a lot like her before,
She wanted to sing with the stars one day.
And now, many years later,
They both are singing in perfect harmony,
And they have a philosophy,
Dream Big and Shoot for the stars and you’ll be among friends.
