Drop The Gun

The sound of the explosives roared in their ears
The screams & cries were all that they could hear
The remains of their loved ones were all they could see
Their lives were nothing like they wanted it to be

Drop the gun.
Don't hurt them people
They're nothing but so little

Fear is something they'd like to get rid of
Don't scare them even more.
They need our help
Not our bullets

The strong should help the weak
Not hurt them
The elders should teach the little ones
Not point guns at them
The built should stand up strong
Not be torn down
The world should stay in peace
Not filled with shrieks

Pick Them up from a terrifying fall
Pick them up so they can once stand up tall
Save them from a life full of fear
Save them so they can see a future that's oh so clear

Look in their tearful eyes
See that they're harmless
They didn't do anything to us
So why must we hurt them so badly?

They just wanted to feel safe
For once in their lives, they'd like to know what freedom is
They know enough about fear
Now they want to know what it's like to cheer
