Acting

What childish play have you brought to display,
With your smirks and laughter that filled the eerie stilled room.
Alone you were on stage, acting through the lines you played,
Until she came onto the stage.

She with clean, clear skin of soft tan,
with hair that shone like lights of yellow and brown.
With eyes of a deep sky blue, and luscious eyelashes that flowed like water.
Pink, puffed lips of tenderness and flirtatiousness.

You lure yourself into her, like two threads tied to a knot.
And I was the scissors, ready to break it,
but knowing it wouldn't matter anymore, now that I know you.
So I just close the curtains, finishing the show.
