Just one for you

The rain drips down
Off the top of the roof
Off the tips of all my fingers
Off the rounded edges of my lens
I snap a picture
Of a rain drop meets puddle
Of the pools rippling edges
Then I turn to find you in the lens
It stops me in my tracks
All sound disappears
Everything around me blurs
I cant seem to take my eyes away
From who I see through my camera
Im a photography, its my job
My job to notice the details nobody sees
Like your smile how everything can be great
Like your eyes how crystalline blue they are
Like our conversations, how they never end
Like how were too alike to even comprehend
Like how you make me feel so special
Im a photographer and I capture it all
I watch the rain again, turn my back to you
Everyone needs to catch their breath sometimes
You interlock your fingers with mine
And we stand, not moving once
In the middle of the rain
This is where we belong,
This is where we are
This is you and me
