Longing Rhyme

I can revel in wishes,
I can feast on sentiments;
But the virtues, and the merit
Of the notion's all but spent.
I feign'd and long'd your 'love' so mere;
It lead me to a life austere,
And now all is bleak and all is spent,
Youth not broken; but sight now bent.
