Outcast

I stand behind unobtrusively
So nobody will notice me
It’s like they don’t know I’m there
And I don’t blame them

I keep quiet all the time
Got no reasons, got no rhyme
But I don’t really care
Cuz I’m not there when

They turn around to look at me
They’re wondering what did they see
And if I’m really there
But to see me is rare

Cuz I’m an outcast out on the branches
Or an outcast out on the sea
You can look both ways but you will not find me
I’m an outcast, an outcast that’s me

They glimpse me walking down the halls
When they look again it’s just a wall
And they think they’re seeing things
And I don’t blame them

It makes me sad to be on my own
But I can’t do nothing, don’t have a home
Don’t got the world on a string
And I’m not there when

They turn around to look at me
They’re wondering what did they see
And if I’m really there
But to see me is rare

Cuz I’m an outcast out on the branches
Or an outcast out on the sea
You can look both ways but you will not find me
I’m an outcast, an outcast that’s me

But you turn around to look at me
And it’s me you really did see
And you give me a smile
And I realize

Now I’m not an outcast out on the branches
Or an outcast out on the sea
You can look both ways and you’ll see me smiling
Not an outcast, an outcast you’ll see
