Underestimation

That pretty little girl,
Standing there by the fire.
She held in her hand,
her late mother's flowers.
Everyone kept saying,
at her age she souldn't lose her mother.
Throwing the flowers in the burning ashes,
no one thinks she understands.
But something told her father,
that she could feel that something's missing.
He picked her up into his arms
and shed a lonely tear.
It was her voice that broke the silence.
Her little seven year old heart spoke and said to him,
"don't you shed a tear for her daddy,
we will see her soon again,
she told me before just then,
when I gave her all her flowers..."

I have a friend that lost a mother at a very young age. She tells me the story about it all the time. I couldn't imagine my life without my mom or dad and this one is dedicated to all those that have lost a parent at a young age. They say no one understands but really, you're part of them, and I feel that you do. My friend told her dad that they would see her again someday and she gave her father hope, which is why he still lives to this day...
