Living a Lie
The sun will always rise
On our darkest day
We wish it wouldn't
But we have no say
It's only fair that others get to smile
Even when your heart is broken
The tears keep streaming
And words are often misspoken
The light that shines through the window
Doesn't mean we're alive
Every day just becomes worse
And we always have to strive
All we need is a help
A person with no fuse
Who will reach out a hand
And finally save us
No God will do it
We are on our own
The lies people will believe
Are written in stone
A book that speaks only what's written
A mournful woman who cries
A rain drop that falls onto the ground
Is everything a lie?
There's nothing at the other end
Of that bright light
We have to find our way
When there's nothing in sight
That feeling that washes over us
Like a stern stare
It's only the beginning
No one will care.
On our darkest day
We wish it wouldn't
But we have no say
It's only fair that others get to smile
Even when your heart is broken
The tears keep streaming
And words are often misspoken
The light that shines through the window
