Always and Forever

underneath the oak tree
that stood proud and tall
thats where i was
when i recieved a call

something wasnt right
your heart rate had gotten slow
i got to the hospital
as fast as that car could go

i got to the emergency room
and asked for your name
they said that you had just slipped away
and you had felt no pain

they said i could see you shortly
im crying like a fool as i wait
they finally let me see you
i look at you, that wasnt your fate

your hands were cold,
your lips were blue
you were in you pink pajamas
i had picked them out for you

this night was tramatic
for my sister and me
without our parents there
and only hospital employees

The next week at your funeral
that is all a blur
with distant family and close friends
and all the others that had knew her

your prescence we miss
your memories we treasure
