your soul passed through the air.
Your body left within debris
Your family in despair

We wept, we mourned, we tried
To think it was a stupid prank
And that you could not have died

Weeks had passed, and still no sign
Of any alteration

With you in correlation.

Months had passed, you still remained
Within our thoughts and fears
Despite the many passing suns

As the seasons came and passed
We watched our lives go by
We ourselves, had grown and changed
Yet we still looked to the skies

In the sky where you regard
Our lives in which we dream
Look to the stars and reminisce
Our memories still keen.

Once upon a year ago, a boy had changed my life
Once upon a year ago, we all were hit with strife
Once upon a year ago, we all began to live
