From Highway To Dirt Road I Travel
To travel that yonder highway
A dream I once had
To travel to that far away place
Of familiarity and known
I ponder of when I will go
I do not care where
Only that it is far away from there
I leave all of me behind
All I’ve ever known
Left behind on the highway
While I take the dirt road
To travel to that far away place
A dream I still have
To travel that yonder dirt road
And leave behind the highway
A dream I once had.

I wrote this poem in response to a hard time in my life where nothing was going right. everything was upside down and going arye. I wrote this poem as a fantasy of going off somewhere and never looking back.Enjoy!
