Free Falling

As simple as a rainy day,
You luckily came my way.
We are birds of different colored feathers,
Yet my love can't be expressed in few letters.
Irrational, unintentional;
So bluntly unconventional.
Long walks on dark nights,
I wish it was forever 'till tomorrow's first light.
No more frowns or salty tears,
You scared away my deepest fears.
Are we standing on a mountain, or a mound?
We're to high up to see the ground.
You remind me not to be worried,
Because something this special shouldn't be hurried.
We don't know where we'll land,
But I feel confident as we stand hand in hand,
That wherever we may fall,
We're together for the long haul.
So we jump and we're free,
Just like we were meant to be.
