A Perfect Sunset

Getting ready, clamping canvas to easel, easel to canvas.

Setting chair to right height,

Placing table beside me,

Taking out the painting tray, placing it on my hand,

Pick favourite colours.

Screwing off the lids, pouring the colourful chunky mess into its place,

Pouring water into cup set it on table.

I untie the string that holds the brushes, unravelling them to see the sizes.

Picking the largest, medium, and smallest, all I use so often.

Taking largest brush I blob it into a blue, swiping it across the canvas.

Adding pink and purples, I blend them in mixing them with the blue, a perfect sunset.

Satisfied with the background, I start with the foreground.

The colours and outlines of the fall trees come leaping off the canvas.

Placing tray and brushes on the table, I stand up to take a look.

I`m satisfied with this piece of art.

I sign my name.
