The girl on the hill of pain

There she stands, at the top of a hill
Acidic tears leave streaks of pain
Chains that grip hold her deathly still
Through the snow, sleet and rain

Racing thoughts that never end
Of you, of them of me
None one on whom she can depend
No one to set her free

As the day races on into night
As all the light begins to fade
What seemed once to be wrong and right
Mixes as one and slowly decays

With every inch she manages to crawl
The pain she feels heightens
No one can hear her pain, her call
Her lungs begin to tighten

With every breath she gasps for air
The life within begins to die
Lost in all the pain and despair
She leaves this life with no goodbyes
