Dreams

She sat there, all bloody and worn
Her little red dress was dirty and torn
A miserable life that she lives everyday
But in her dreams she can run away

Alone in the world, beaten and raped
Her mother is dead, her father she hates
But no one can hear her scream and cry
As he strikes her, time after time

At night she lies alone in her room
Hoping, praying it could all end soon

And when she’s asleep in her small, creaky bed
She dreams of her life if here mother weren’t dead
A life of happiness, love and luck
But the fantasy’s over, it’s time to wake up

And now she’s thrown, bleeding on the floor
She will dream of her paradise no more
And in her father’s and, a knife
That’s when this girl lost her life

Her small, fragile body buried deep in the earth
No one ever realized her hurt
But now her spirit is high in the sky
Her mind is at peace, she will no longer cry

Now you might think that this story is sad
Death was worse than the sad life she had
But she is now with her mum, in the sky so blue
Her long lost dream finally came true
