Summer's Lament
Though heartache torments her
Swirling through her mind
She still continues to fall
Into the abyss
The abyss which this love
Though it may not be mutual
Has been forged upon
Knowing theres no hope
Nor crying nor writing
Can really depict
How sorrow stricken
Her heart really must be
All she wants
Is to have his company
No matter how short the time
Or how quick the greeting
Yet still they are seperated
By that wide open blue
Not knowing what lies beyond
Though she likes to imagine
Arms open wide
An inviting embrace
Not matter how shortly
The closness may last
To look in those eyes
To touch the soft skin
Her heart melts at the thought
The very thought of him
But still winter moves in
On this Summers warm love
To freeze her heart to the core
With frost coursing through her veins
And this Summmer like the rest
Will die and change
Just like her longing
But for now it remains
Swirling through her mind
She still continues to fall
Into the abyss
The abyss which this love
Though it may not be mutual
Has been forged upon
Knowing theres no hope
Nor crying nor writing
Can really depict
How sorrow stricken
Her heart really must be
All she wants
Is to have his company
No matter how short the time
Or how quick the greeting
Yet still they are seperated
By that wide open blue
Not knowing what lies beyond
Though she likes to imagine
Arms open wide
An inviting embrace
Not matter how shortly
The closness may last
To look in those eyes
To touch the soft skin
Her heart melts at the thought
The very thought of him
But still winter moves in
On this Summers warm love
To freeze her heart to the core
With frost coursing through her veins
And this Summmer like the rest
Will die and change
Just like her longing
But for now it remains
