Long desert road
‘No passing’ sign
Four little cars
All in a line

Red car at the front,
Young woman inside.
Boy of light--man of dark:
No strength to decide.

Green car next.
Old man, of pain so tired.
Sweet woman, just dead.
Life, death: release desired.

Yellow car after.
One purple eye
And two blue lips,
But no desire to cry.

Black car last.
A fearful soul hurting.
Long, lonely nights with
Fingertips burning.
