Peace Excerpt
“Even if you’re lost you can’t lose the love because it’s in your heart…”
The days how they linger,
But with a trace of your finger,
I feel whole once more,
It reaches my core,
But with the sun setting each day,
I must look away,
For the remembrance of you somehow always seems to stay.
The clouds as they move and the wind as it blows,
I can no longer breathe from my head to my toes,
But a figure on the horizon pauses at once,
And for just one second I think about us.
Only you could make me laugh without the sorrow staying,
And only you could make me see why both good and bad were worth weighing,
The warm summer air and the long winter nights,
Both cherished with you from sun down to sunlight,
And with those feelings back the silhouette grows bigger,
Coming faster and faster like a bullet after its trigger.
The warm breeze comes back as if it were a sign,
That you would be back that same summers time;
My feet start to move,
One after another,
They start to move faster,
Reaching for a lover.
I dare not weep another day,
And I dare not keep myself far away.
I won’t let you go and I’ll never back down,
Before I let go of you,
I’d rather cry and sadly drown.
Never let me go because I am always here,
Whenever you need love I will always be near,
I will run to you no matter where you are,
Because I can hear your heartbeat near or far,
Your mind is like mine and it speaks one and the same,
We are combined never to be in vain.
You come into view and my breath catches,
You are a perfect picture,
Never fire to ashes,
I embrace your pure warmth and shed a single tear,
“I told you I’d be back; I will always be near.”
He whispers.
If only a day could go by no longer
I would wish upon the world no other monger.
My heart is a flutter,
And my head has gone fuzzy,
I’d never think he’d come back because of me.
But here in my arms forever he shall stay,
And I will never regret a single day,
I breathe in his scent and hold him in my heart,
I will never let go of him and we’ll never be apart.
This is of a promise made long ago,
One that will never pull too or fro,
The place of two lovers’ has always lived on,
And in time has become more than one song,
To show of their love and how it has blossomed,
And also how the storms have not caught them;
This poem is of love one that is true and pure,
One of a love that ends up being a cure,
And no longer will this be the only one,
This is my love for you always to go on.
So smile and laugh and go on your way,
And like me this will happen to you one special day,
Where time slows down and the moment is a dream,
No longer the strange tragedies of what it doesn’t seem,
You will find that someone, I know I did,
And hold onto them before they are gone with the wind.
This is of true love,
And true love is what it is,
It’s the heart’s song,
Singing in the wind,
So breathe in the deep air,
And never despair,
My love came for me,
After I’ve waited one lifetime and a day,
I no longer cry,
Because true love happened here today,
“I love you,”
Is all that is needed to be said,
And with that the world is perfect forever this way,
I have always loved and have been loved in return,
That is what made this true love burn.
My eyes open wide and I look towards the horizon,
The sun is still setting,
But I’m no longer crying,
I look at your picture and I start smiling,
I place the single flower next to your grave,
And say, “I will always love you,”
And read the last poem you gave.
The words were true,
And the memories clear,
No matter how far, you are always near.
I smile towards the sky,
And dream it in my heart,
I will be with you once more,
Because we are never apart;
Your love is what got me through those days,
And when you came back you were shining with rays,
Your love will keep me alive
I stretch my arms out to the wind,
And it blows right past me high up within,
The smile on my face grows wider and wider,
And no strain on my heart will ever be tighter,
Because of it I know you are near,
And I breathe you in deep for no longer is there fear,
And right there before me have you appeared;
With wings behind you and arms open wide,
I take your hand and together we fly,
