Shattered Mirror

Shattered Mirror

She uses the scars to reminisce,
A reminder of her former pain.
She sold her salvation for a kiss,
With nobody to explain.

She is lost, all alone,
Grasping on to straws and hope.
Living still, but her spirit’s gone,
Using the pain to help her cope.

Her image is a broken glass,
A fragmented and shattered face.
Through all the time that is to pass,
She will never leave this place.

Intermingled is pain and happiness,
She’s left broken and not whole.
Drenched in feelings he cannot express,
That lies within her soul.

The glass is shattered, the picture torn,
Her feelings will not fade.
The girl who died when she was born,
For a simple price she paid.

So she took her shattered mirror,
And hung it on her wall.
Wishing everything was clearer,
Because she’s too blind to see at all.
