Do you know what it’s like
When you feel lonely every day?
Would you know how to survive?

He was suicide’s son
With no one to rely on
Doing cocaine was his only fun
He needed it to carry on

The media called him a star
He was at no. 1 in the charts
But his life was a nightmare
He lived in a bubble made of guilt

His lonely path of self-destruction
Was tearing him into pieces
There was no hope left
Just suicidal thoughts on his mind
They thought all that he needed was fame

But though his fans all knew his face
They didn’t see him standing in the rain
And though they screamed his name
No one heard the screams within his soul

She saw his face on TV
And became the light that he’d never known
She was oxygen helping him to breathe
Building a land of make believe

The world thought he was no longer stuck
In his self-made vacuum
But his dreams kept fading to black
She couldn’t give him what he was looking for
She never reached his inner core

And the demons in his head appeared again
Till he had no power left to flee from the pain
It drove him insane
Till he couldn’t face another day

They thought all that he needed was fame
But though he made the crowd feel right
They never knew how he felt inside
And though they thought they’d be just the same
No one really understood his pain

Alone again
He felt everything had been in vain
His family stays behind
‘Cause the end is everything
He was able to find.
