Waiting for Forever

I walk through the park my feet dragging against the ground,
a couple holds hands, and a man plays with his daughter.
It makes me remember what can't be found.
It was something that I never had,
Is that bad?

The daughter is spinning in his hands.
The girl's eyes sparkling like blue diamonds.

My breathing gets hitched in my throat.
I look down, a small ring in which wrote.
This ring is keeps me from coming too that side.
This ring keeps me from what I hide.

The little girl's eyes glance in my direction.
That same innocent look as mine if that's my recognition.
She separates from her daddy, and walks over too me.
I point to the line so she can see.
She looks at me confusedly.

"Why?" Was her frizzled reply.
"It is my protective bubble." I answered with a sigh.
"I have it too keep me warm.
And too separate me in a storm."

She looks at me funny,
her eyes a color of brown as sweet as honey.

"I'm sorry you're sad,
did mommy make you mad?"
I smile and shake my head,
holding out my arm too spread.

She gasps at a sight,
"Mommy and me got in a fight,"
I smiled as I spoke.
"It happens every night."

"I don't know what that is, and I don't wanna poke,
but do you think something may have broke."
Her words were old and wise,
something that I have had, and now withers and dies.

"You're not old enough too know,
it is a thing your mommy and daddy wont show,
not everything is perfect
and sometimes relationships are wrecked.
Take pride every day for what you have and had
You don't wanna end up sad.
And remember not everything lasts,
sometimes things can die fast."

The small girl looks me in the eyes,
Her face free of lies.

"Right now all you need too worry about is a broken is a vase,
Now if something gets broken, be prepared for it being to big too replace.
Be prepared for insults spoken not too your face."

The little girl starts crying,
"That's a lie, there's no denying."

"Nothing lasts forever, that includes this,
those tears your crying you will soon dismiss;.
As much as it hurts,
pain finds a way too push anyone in the dirt."

The little girl pushes past my well made ring,
I step back, my bubble shattered.
She glares at me,
but still it has no effect.
"What you say may be true
I'm just a kid I don't understand what you say or do,
but my mommy once told me,
that love is like a tree
it may be cut down,
but the pieces will still be there and around.
It may be dying,
but it takes one person trying,
to get it back in it's place again."

The small little girl hugs me tightly,
I look down at her slightly.

"I'll understand your pain later,
Can you wait tell then,
you look like a waiter."
