True Beauty

Where does beauty hide?

If you look closely, you may find it everywhere.

Within the fine pages of a detailed story,

In between the wild whispers of the autumn wind,

Inside a child’s laughter ringing with joy,

In the beaming face of a toothless toddler,

Between the tresses of a lover’s silky hair,

In the heated arguments between two best friends,

Concealed in the eerie silence of the darkest nights,

Somewhere lost in a blazing snowstorm,

Hidden in the droplets of fine April rain,

On the outermost layer of general appearances,

Deep within the heart where our emotions lay,

Beauty is everywhere if you truly search for it,

The only thing to determine is,

What really is truly beautiful,

Because beauty can be anything,

The wonders that some people despise,

And the marvels that some people enjoy,

So it is up to you to decide

Your own conception of beauty.
