You Never Existed

The fevered mind,
The hidden passion in my veins.
It can only be disguised,
By unwavering joy and reason,
That which I excel at not creating.

The breaking heart,
The loathing, but still loving, that which I never do.
It can only be summaraized
By looking inside of me,
And I'm afraid of you seeing too much.

Don't lie, you never existed,
Don't cry, I loved you still the same.
Don't be that way:
You were the only way I could be in love,
And loved back.

The hidden crime,
The cries I've made at humanity.
I can only forgive myself,
By saying it wasn't real,
But I don't want to lie anymore.

You were the figment of my imagination,
But I need to let go,
And look for someone alive,
Who might love me just the same,
But I'll always love you.

Don't lie, you never existed,
Don't cry, I loved you still the same.
Don't be that way:
You were the only way I could be in love,
And loved back.

I'm afraid of letting go,
But I'm just moving on.
I'll still miss you every day,
Even if my first love wasn't real.
