So Blind

I would burn down all the bridges,
That I crossed on this path,
If I thought for one second,
That it would bring me back.

I'd kill all of the weeds,
That had grown over my roads.
Just for the simple thought,
Of going back home.

But no, that life is gone.
There's no more shine to the sun.
What's happened has happened,
And it cannot be undone.

There's no turning back now,
I've already crossed the line.
I wasn't thinking then,
How could I be so blind?
