The Distint Drum

Laying here looking up at the stars

Seeing a star brighter than the others

Hearing the sound of drums from the heavens,

that sound so distant from us.

It seems so unreal of what we hear

The distant drum is the sign of happiness

For the weak at heart,

the weak at heart who miss Jimmy Sullivan.

We've been traveling for so long

We were so lost till we stumbled upon

Two roads in front of us

We took our time in which road to take.

Oh, we hear them now

All the religious rage

(Anger we see)

(Anger we see)

(Anger we see now)

The distant drumming starts up,

once again after the religious rage.

The star gets brighter and brighter

as the drumming gets louder and louder.

Can this stay?

Can this stay here forever?

Will this stay?

Will this stay here forever?

We don't care that it's so distant

We all miss the drumming of Bat Country.

No matter on the distance from us,

now we hear the beasts coming out for there harlots.
