The Little Things
So many little things make me so happy
The little things open my eyes, help me see
When I draw, a smile's always on my face
Using my pencil, I rest from this race
When I write, my tears stop falling
Across the page, the pen's crawling
When I read, my mind's elsewhere
To be able to forget is a gift, so rare
When I sing, I don't care anymore
I sing out those lyrics, no longer sore
And most of all, when I see you, I feel so genuinely happy
To unlock the door to my happiness, you're the key
The little things open my eyes, help me see
When I draw, a smile's always on my face
Using my pencil, I rest from this race
When I write, my tears stop falling
Across the page, the pen's crawling
When I read, my mind's elsewhere
To be able to forget is a gift, so rare
When I sing, I don't care anymore
I sing out those lyrics, no longer sore
And most of all, when I see you, I feel so genuinely happy
To unlock the door to my happiness, you're the key
