Moonlight and a shadow

A shadow danced across the porch
Almost mocking me
As I speak in solitude with myself
It was yelling insults to my ears
Like a knife to my heart

I watched the leaves fall one by one
Until there was non for me to watch
I dreamed all the dreams there are to dream
I have cried at every sad thing known to man
Listened to every moral to learn
And I get in return the moonlight and a shadow

My lungs collaspe when I hear my first goodbye
Forever and for always never seen again
Memories fade and I had no picture
Instead I sit and stare blankly at the doorway
Like a knife to my heart

I watched the leaves fall one by one
Until there was non or me to watch
I dreamed all the dreams there are to dream
I have cried at every sad thing known to man
Listened to every moral to learn
And I get in return the moonlight and a shadow

Well I have a few words of wisdom
Hold on and never ever let go
Don't listen to the shadows or insults
Do what you do to the best of your power
And the most important of all..
Live life to the fullest or else you may end up like me
Broken, isolated, weary, delusional
