Candle

Have you ever seen
anything
in your life
more wonderful,

Than a candle
burning in the night
watching the flame
flickering back and forth,

Watching the melted wax
slide down then candle
like tears sliding down
your face,

The light starts to slowly go out
like the sun setting for night
like a human going to sleep,

As the candle slowly burns out
so do we.
