Red, Black, and Blue

Wet red tears slide down her face
Splashing; crashing to the floor of this place

Her heart swelled at the sight of the fakes
The reason she cries; why her heart breaks

Dripping with pain from head to toe
Welcoming death and the black of the crow

Letting the waves swallow her whole
The blue and the black, taking its toll

Closing her eyes; only seeing the grey
Blind to the orange of the end of the day

She can’t see the hope in this place
As she cries; as she dies; with red dripping down her face
