Ponder

There's a breath
hiding in my lungs.
A secret sigh,
shining through my chest.
I'm saving it
for a sunny day
just to ponder it
everyday there's rain.

Close my eyes,
so I can see.
Hold my hand,
so I can breath.
Kiss my cheek,
so I can sing.
Pull up the sheets;
lay me to sleep.

Pour into my brain
memories of you.
That twirl my hair
and brush my lips.
An everlasting
