I lie on my hammock
Under the starless night
Under the darkened trees
And the breeze at my back
And the wind blowing across my face
The darkness avenges me

On the sand, of a beach
The sun beating down on my skin
The water cresting over my body
The little breeze making me cold
The light excites me

Its beautiful colors
Its love for beauty

I lie on the floor
Under the knife that killed me
Under the shame and the pain
And the blood still spilling
And the red staining
The devil steals me
It takes me in
It adopts me
With its claws
Its sharpened teeth
Its love for lost souls
