Letting Go
I’ve heard advice:
“It’s completely impossible to find a guy who won’t hurt you,
So go for the guy that makes the pain worthwhile.”
Do you make the pain worthwhile?
Or am I destined to spend eternity doomed,
Loving you without any hope of return
I need you,
But I can’t have you
You make my days worthwhile
You make life bearable
But only when you seem to be my friend
It may only be pretend,
But it doesn’t matter
I need to let go
Let go of you
But how can I?
You mean so much to me,
How am I supposed to let that float away?
