Northern Winds

When the northern winds blow,
My heart blows to your hand.
But when it meets iron grip,
Turns to single-grain sand.

The morning we first met,
Your words made my heart soar.
But now you've left me a mess,
With our love nothing more.

With your gorgeous green eyes,
And your slight, kinky smile.
You put the world in a faze,
My mind in a daze,
And you set my heart-beat, quite wild.

When the northern winds blow,
My veins burst into fire.
At the touch of your hand,
They catch hard on chain wire.

The connection of eyes,
When bold green meets dull brown.
Butterflies in my stomach,
Take my feet off the ground.

You brought my heart from the heavens,
And my soul from the skies.
Then you left me with nothing,
Just with tears and goodbyes.

When the northern winds blow,
Eyes turn dark with black tears.
Heart is crushed once again,
Turned to dust by my fears.

But my fears go unnoticed,
And myself left behind.
And my heart put to handcuffs,
With the keys hard to find.

The stars are much dimmer,
And the moon doesn't shine.
And on a shooting star, I make a wish,
Once again you'll be mine.

When the northern winds blow,
Pulls us together again.
Let our hearts link forever,
In a willow tree's bend.
